The Thoroughbred Health Network will be attending the WHW conference in London on the 30th November 2017.
The focus of the conference will be the ‘Invisible Horses of the Future’ and in explanation of this choice, the WHW said:
“As World Horse Welfare marks its 90th anniversary, we felt it important that we look ahead to how we might protect the ‘invisible horses’ of tomorrow.”
“Only by learning from the past and scanning the horizon can we prepare for the emerging equine challenges – and take advantage of the potential opportunities.”
As usual, the WHW conference aims to explore this theme through a series of presentations which highlight the future challenges for horses and the changing perceptions around the horse-human partnership.
The wide variety of views are evident in the relentless rise of social media, which continues unabated as both an empowering and disruptive force in equine welfare.
The discussion panel will seek to articulate the true meaning of responsible ownership, from birth to death, from sport horse to draught mule and everything in between.
