The Welfare and Safety of the Racehorse Summit is organised by The US Jockey Club and Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. The summit is held annually every June in Lexington, Kentucky and is FREE and open to the public. It attracts international speakers and brings together a cross-section of the breeding, racing and veterinary communities from around the world, not only in attendance, but also via LIVE online streaming – further details can be found here.
In June 2016, the summit will hold its seventh meeting and recordings of previous presentations are available online below:-
The US Jockey Club was founded in 1894 and is dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing. The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation is traditionally America’s leading source of private funding for equine medical research that benefits all breeds of horses.
